Previous Events Con't - July 2006The 2006 RWA National Conference was held in Atlanta, Georgia. Over 2000 registrants! What a fantastic opportunity to mingle with and learn from reviewers, editors, agents and of course other writers. June 2006The Writers Weekend conference in Bellevue in June was a great opportunity to mingle with writers from all sorts of genres. Here's a photo from the book signing. Spring 2006I was interviewed by a reporter for the Times Colonist (Victoria, BC) and on February 7 the paper ran a fantastic article, with my book cover life size and in glowing purple! The smaller but equally fabulous book cover is for A Man For Her, a historical romance set in BC, written by local author Alice Valdal.
On February 11, several romance authors participated in a signing at Chapters in Victoria. I’m on the right. In the middle is historical romance author Jo Beverley and on the left is E.C. Sheedy who writes romantic suspense and Bravas for Kensington. On February 14 (yes, that’s Valentine’s Day), four of us did a panel at Vancouver Public Library on using the senses in your writing. I’m again on the right. On the far left is Mary Forbes, who writes Silhouette Special Editions. To her left is Nancy Warren, who writes steamy books for both Kensington and Harlequin. And beside me is Kate Austin, who writes women’s fiction for Harlequin Next . The woman at the podium is our lovely host from the library. |
