RECIPE IRIS YAKIMURA’S SALMON DINNER Marinade and Salad Dressing Combine soy sauce, sesame oil, balsamic vinegar, honey, and grated ginger, in whatever proportions appeal to you. If you have fruit-flavored balsamic vinegar and/or honey, use those. Use some of this mixture for the salmon marinade and some for the cabbage salad dressing. Grilled Salmon Marinate the salmon for half an hour and then barbecue or cook in the oven under the broiler. Be sure not to overcook! Rice Pilaf Combine white rice, brown rice, wild rice, and quinoa in whatever proportions appeal to you. Cook in a rice cooker, if you have one, or otherwise the same way you’d normally cook brown rice. Cabbage Salad Combine chopped cabbage, dried cranberries, chopped cilantro, sliced almonds, chopped peeled orange, sesame seeds, and anything else that appeals to you.
